Not featured below is my work on short freelance contracts to help develop TV series with studios such as Cartoon Network and Spinmaster, as this work is still under NDA.
Netflix
“Toil & Trouble”
2020-21
From May 2020 I worked at Netflix Animation as a Visual Development Artist on Lauren Faust’s kids TV series : Toil & Trouble and was asked to define the style of the environments. Art Director Justin Martin and I worked for almost a year designing the environments (multiple magical cities, each with their own unique character and architectural features, plus additional towns and landscapes) within the show.
After the show was green lit I became Lead BG Artist leading our BG team on fleshing out the environments.
Sadly the show was cancelled in August 2021 as part of Netflix’s big sweep of cancellations. It’s some of the work I’m most proud of in my career so far.
Feature Development
2022
In 2022 I was asked to help develop a look for a feature that had some funding to be developed to a stage in which it could be pitched for full funding. I also advised on the best routes to take with the animation.
I worked on Characters and Environments.
